Eco Wave Power Produces Over 2,000 kWh of Wave Energy at Jaffa Port in December

Eco Wave Power Global AB, a company specializing in onshore wave energy technology, announces production results from its EWP-EDF One pilot project located at Jaffa Port, Israel. According to data released by the company, the installation generated over 2,000 kWh of electricity during December 2025. This production was reportedly recorded over approximately 12 days characterized by moderate waves, ranging between 1 and 2 meters in height. A Pilot System with Zero Downtime Since Early 2025 The company indicates that the EWP-EDF One system has maintained stable operation since the beginning of 2025, with zero downtime, in wave conditions of 1 meter and above. The Jaffa project is a pilot-scale demonstration installation, comprising a limited number of small-scale floaters. Its primary purpose is to validate continuous operation, system robustness, and real-world energy production under actual marine conditions. Eco Wave Power states that its future commercial projects will utilize larger floaters and a significantly higher number of units. According to the company, this configuration is expected to improve energy capture and capacity factors compared to current pilot installations. International Expansion Underway Alongside its activities in Israel, the company is developing its international presence. In September 2025, Eco Wave Power inaugurated a wave energy project at AltaSea in the Port of Los Angeles, in collaboration with Shell Marine Renewable Energy (Shell MRE). This project obtained the necessary regulatory approvals, including a federal license from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The company is also advancing projects in Taiwan in partnership with I-KE, in India in collaboration with Bharat Petroleum, and in Portugal, where it is preparing what would be its largest installation to date. According to Eco Wave Power, its project pipeline under development represents 404.7 MW. Technology in Commercial Validation Phase Inna Braverman, CEO and Founder of Eco Wave Power, emphasizes that the Jaffa pilot system continues to provide performance data that informs the company's commercial designs. The company, listed on the Nasdaq Capital Market under the ticker symbol WAVE, has received support from the European Regional Development Fund, Innovate UK, and the European Horizon 2020 program. The Israeli project is co-funded by EDF Renewables IL and was recognized as a "Pioneering Technology" by the Israeli Ministry of Energy. Wave energy remains an emerging segment of marine renewable energy. The ability of these pilot installations to demonstrate stable and predictable production represents a key challenge for the entire sector in its transition toward commercial-scale deployments.
