South Korea Confirms Two New Nuclear Reactors with 2.8 GWe Capacity by 2038

The South Korean government maintains its commitment to nuclear energy development. Kim Sung-hwan, Minister of Climate, Energy and Environment, confirmed during a press briefing the construction of two large-capacity reactors by 2038. This announcement comes as part of preparations for the 12th Basic Plan for Electricity Supply and Demand, covering the period 2026-2040.
