Thea Energy, an American company specializing in stellarator fusion technology, announces it has received certification for its preconceptual pilot plant design named Helios. The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) validated this design following review by an independent expert panel from national laboratories, research institutions, and universities. According to the company, this certification marks the completion of the final major milestone in the Milestone-Based Fusion Development Program.
